Funding for the checkpoint is provided to the Newport Beach Police Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
UPDATE, APRIL 18, 10:30 A.M.: The Anaheim Police Department Traffic Unit this morning announced it will conduct a DUI/drivers license checkpoint from 8 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday at Euclid Street and La Palma Avenue.
