Today, Nate Dogg's family announced there will be a funeral service on Saturday at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal, the former Spruce Goose Dome adjacent to the Queen Mary.
Pamela Hale-Burns, his sister, says the 10 a.m. Saturday service will be open to the public.
There will also be a viewing for the singer on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, 1160 New York St., Long Beach.
No cameras will be allowed at the service or the viewing. A funeral repast for the public will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Dome.
It's implied the tribute will be the hometown version of the tribute that Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound and the rest of the Death Row diaspora held at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, last week.
Snoop's Facebook status said, '”the homecoming celebrating the life of nate dogg will b sat in lbc. location tbd n next 24 hrs. need all support from artists/fans/fam/friends . . . much luv!! 213.”
