Friday was a wild one in Anaheim, where a man delivered his wife's baby in their car along the 91 freeway (with their three other kids inside), and one man was captured and a second was shot to death by police after the robbery of an electronics store. But it all started with the discovery of a murder-suicide involving a married couple with baby child in what appears to be a quiet Anaheim Hills neighborhood.

Grandparents had come to the home in the 700 block of South Morningstar Drive Friday morning to babysit their 7-month-old granddaughter. But after they walked inside, they found the bodies of their daughter and son-in-law on the first-floor of the two-story home, according to Lt. Bob Dunn, the Anaheim Police spokesman.
Cops called around 8:29 a.m. discovered that the couple had suffered gunshot wounds, a handgun was nearby and the baby girl was found unharmed in a bedroom upstairs. The child was later placed in protective custody pending the investigation, Dunn said.
Natalie Rangel-Diaz and John Thomas Diaz, both 32, were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Dunn said no shooting suspects are being sought. “The investigation into how the suspected murder/suicide took place is ongoing,” he added.
Details on the fatal police shooting after the robbery follow in the next post.
