We know that reggae is not the biggest part of our musical diet here at the Weekly, but on occasion, it can definitely be the best part. Case and point: this Sunday reggae and dancehall legend Barrington Levy hits the stage at the Blue Cafe in Long Beach for a night of irie vocal chops and island-inspired fun. As a time-tested legend in the game, Levy remains a vigilant touring performer in the OC and LA area. His supporting acts on stage this weekend include the Long Beach hip-reggae squad Chapter 11 as well as Lifeline and Barrikuda. Fight past your typical somber Sunday mood and inhale some great live music that will have you walking into work the next morning on a high note. Tickets are $20 and the show starts at 9 p.m.
