In Heat, who we've written about copiously in this space–they formed from the “ashes” of the Vessel Tongue, surely you remember–are playing an all-locals show tonight at Detroit Bar, along with some more of our faves. Howl, who we wrote about last month in Locals Only and took to good-natured task on the blog, are also on the bill. So is Cat Party (pictured) who were on our Citizen Blast compilation last year, and just released a rather swell new album, called, er, Cat Party. Hindu Pirates round off things, and while we'll admit that we don't know a lot about them (yet!) how great is that band name? The only thing that could be greater is if they were, in fact, Hindu pirates, which you can find out for yourself at the show tonight, one supposes. Starts at 9 p.m., and yep, freesies.
