Moostache Play Acoustic Set, Give Away Acoustic EP for Free (Kind Of)

No joke, Moostache really seems like one of those bands that we'll soon be able to say “we knew them back when.”

Other than simply being one of the gosh-darned likable local bands around (who couldn't love the charming brothers Wardell?), they're on a pretty good run of high-profile opening gigs at the Glass House in Pomona, having recently opened up for Portland's Portugal the Man, and scheduled to support British quirk-rockers Art Brut at the same venue on October 29.

They're also staying pretty prolific–their first full-length, The Body Disagrees, came out this past summer, and this week released an acoustic EP, rather cleverly entitled Acoustache, Volume 1. It's six songs–all different than the ones on the album! Amazing.

Even more amazing: the EP can be downloaded here, and is “pay-what-you-want,” In Rainbows-style. You can either name your price, pay the suggested $5 (like a museum), or “steal it.” (I think your heart knows the right decision. Right?)

They're celebrating the release of the EP tonight at the Blue Laguna down in Laguna Beach. It's a free show–no moral debates or cognitive dissonance required. All ages, 8 p.m.
