Incoming: Selena Gomez at the House of Blues, Rooney at the Glass House

Miley Cyrus is so 2008. (And 2006, and 2007. And OK, 2009, too, but still.)

Any tween worth her (or his, but let's face it, mostly her) gliter-glued stuff knows that Selena Gomez is the new hotness in the Disney Channel world, what with her show Wizards of Waverly Place (third season premiere on tomorrow!) winning Emmys and winning over legions of fans of all ages (no, really!). Of course, the next step in Disney superstardom is releasing an album (see Cyrus, Demi Lovato), which Gomez did last week, with her debut Kiss N Tell (released under the name “Selena Gomez and the Scene,” because she's a team player and all that). What's notable is that the music is actually pretty fun–call it a guilty pleasure if you want, but there's never been much guilt over here from enjoying dancey bubblegum pop like “Falling Down.” For better or wose.

The next, next step? Touring, duh, and what better place for a Disney Channel icon to have one of her first live shows than the House of Blues in Anaheim right there in Downtown Disney–which is exactly where she'll be on November 21. It's a 3 p.m. show, not only to finish up early enough for parents to blow some money on their offspring at the World of Disney store, but also to clear out the place before Austin-based electro-rock duo Ghostland Observatory takes the HOB stage later that night. (No word on if discounted tickets will be offered to take advantage of the inevitably huge overlap between those fanbases.) Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 day of the show, and on sale 10 a.m. this Saturday, October 10.

Also coming up: “Blueside”-showing LA rockers Rooney will try to make everyone remember the mid-2000s at the Glass House in Pomona on November 28 (Thanksgiving weekend!). That's on sale noon this Saturday, $16.
