Flier of the Week: Endless Summer Benefit Concert

Ever since eVocal closed its westside Costa Mesa store/gallery/live music venue back in July, owner Brett Walker has promised to keep the brand and spirit alive at various events around town–one such was the District Unplugged benefit for the Surfrider Foundation, and now eVocal is participating in a similarly minded event this Saturday: the “Endless Summer Benefit Concert.”

This time, the beneficiary is Costa Mesa-based Ecofficiency.org, who specialize in spreading global environmental justice and sustainable natural resource management. Though we're firmly in the throes of fall (it's actually been, kind of, not sunny this week!), they're declaring this to be the “endless summer'–thus the surfer motif on the flier.

And though the flier is attractive, it's also scant on details. Like which bands are actually playing this concert (it just says “4 live bands”). Thankfully, we've got you covered! It's surf rock solo artist Marc B., local mainstays the Pawn Shop Kings, Huntington Beach collective Humanlab and Fullerton singer/songwriter Kacie Yoshida.

It's a $20 donation (benefit event, duh), but that goes to all the entertainment and includes two cocktails, so, could be worse. And the cocktails mean that it's a 21 and over event. Donate responsibly.
