Dusty Rhodes and the River Band Forced to Cancel East Coast Tour

Here's some truly unfortunate news: Fullerton's eminently likable Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, riding high on the success of their second SideOneDummy Records release Palace and Stage, have been forced to cancel the east coast leg of their tour due to bassists Brad Babinski's health issues.

Here's the scoop, straight from the band:

Hey friends,
Brad is ill with mono and an outbreak of shingles on his face and so we
had to cancel our east coast tour dates. so so sorry to everyone who
planned on coming out to the shows! please check back for future shows.

Mono and shingles? Yeesh. Certainly sounds unpleasant, and we of course wish him the best in a speedy recovery. The scrapped dates included a three-night Thursday residency at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, along with dates in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Washington DC (among others).

Wish 'em well on their MySpace or on their Twitter (they need more followers!).
