Monday Munchies: Cannabis Cocktails at Home!

There’s something about restaurants and bars in Orange County that depresses me every time I find myself with a free day to go out, relax, and have a drink on a patio and bask in the summer sun. For some reason our restaurant scene seems to think that drinking is only an indoor activity unless you are within view of the beach. Sure, there’s patio dining options available for those of us that don’t mind sweating over an expensive cocktail while a family of four tries to eat lunch nearby but that always makes me feel like I need to be on my best behavior, or at the very least, wait until it’s after the lunch rush but where’s the fun in not getting lifted before 1pm?

Since the Lido House frowns on people sparking up on their rooftop patio full of baby boomers and the cocktails at Habana haven’t changed since our country has had a competent leader I feel like it’s time to take matters into our own hands and just stay home. There’s comfort in knowing that if you get a little too lifted, or if you’ve had one too many sips of your homemade margaritas there’s always a bed within reach to sleep off the effects.

I happen to be blessed with a patio that rivals any restaurant around, with the added bonus of access to fresh limes and lemons that grow just inches from my living room window. Now, whenever I feel like taking a load off I don’t have to worry about things like shoes, or whether or not the children next to me can hear my R-rated conversations because I have all the necessary tools in my backyard for a day of leisurely drinking my cannabis thanks to Cannavis syrups.

Their lineup of expertly crafted tinctures come in a variety of flavors as well as offering both THC and CBD derived options. I’ve always found that using the 2:1 ratio in their Lemon-Lime CBD bottle gives me the best results while crafting a beverage for myself because the effects tend to creep up gently and provides me with enough relief to enjoy my day without suffering from the dreaded couch-lock effects felt from overconsumption.

Being that it is the middle of summer and there’s no time to waste while trying to take advantage of this beautiful weather I’ve decided to show you how to make a drink that tastes like a bartender with an obnoxious mustache made it for you without having to deal with a bartender with an obnoxious mustache.

For starters you are going to need the following:

Liquor of your choice. (Stick with something clear, Vodka, Rum, or Tequila will work perfect)
Fresh lemon or lime juice. (Don’t be lazy, it’s worth it)
Mint
Ice
Cannavis brand syrup. (Whatever flavor you want, get creative!) Available at dispensaries throughout Southern California.
Fresh watermelon juice. (optional but delicious)
Mineral water.

For every cocktail you make you are going to want an ounce-and-a-half of liquor. Mix the liquor, an ounce of lime or lemon, your Cannavis syrup, and two ounces of watermelon juice in a shaker for about ten seconds. Strain your beverage into a new glass, garnish with your mint and top it off with your favorite mineral water.

You may not be surrounded by a bunch of babes in bikinis but you’ll definitely be feeling cooler than Zach Morris while you slowly feel the effects from your potent creation. If booze isn’t your thing you can always omit the liquor and still have all the fun minus the inevitable next day hangover. Happy smoking!

  1. I recently tried CBD gummies from this website https://www.cornbreadhemp.com/products/cbda-oil after the prime prematurely and was pleasantly surprised past the results. Initially skeptical, I start that it significantly helped with my anxiety and be in the land of nod issues without any unconcealed side effects. The lubricator was serene to put to use, with definite dosage instructions. It had a mild, lusty leaning that was not unpleasant. Within a week, I noticed a decided upgrading in my overall well-being, hunch more relaxed and rested. I know the natural approach to wellness CBD offers and plan to at using it.
