Gotcha Mr. Gotcha!
Michael Elliot Tomson, the 58-year-old co-founder of the Gotcha surfwear brand, has been charged with felony DUI and possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor being under the influence of drugs following a traffic accident Monday in Laguna Beach.

Tomson, who resides in Newport Beach, was driving his 2008 Mercedes E550 south on Glenneyre Street around 9 a.m. Monday when he is said to have rear-ended a 2008 Nissan Rogue at Calliope Street.
Laguna Beach Police Capt. Jason Kravetz stated neither Tomson nor the 65-year-old woman driving the Nissan were injured, and that Tomson made his $100,000 bail after his arrest and was released.
The onetime professional surfer co-founded Gotcha with Joel Cooper in Laguna in 1978. The brand was sold in 2005 to Perry Ellis.
