Melissa Lindgren's Alleged Victim Among Boys with Lewd Photos on Cell Phones: Police

Fullerton police have warned parents they have found lewd photos on the cell phones of three boys over the past month, including one of the alleged student victims of eighth-grade teacher Melissa Lindgren, who was arrested for molestation last month.

Lindgren, 28, of La Mirada, posted $10,000 bail, was released from jail and currently has an April 9 arraignment hearing scheduled. She has not yet been charged.

One lewd photo was a nude of a girl who sent it to a boy, according to Fullerton Police Sgt. Jeff Stuart.

“In some of these cases if the parents were aware and talked to their kids it wouldn't have happened,” Stuart told City News Service.

“What happens if you break up? Where does that picture go then? We just want to make sure parents are talking to their kids.”

Stuart said there is software parents can use to monitor cell-phone and Internet activity (just ask the NSA). He also warned that sending a nude photo of a minor could lead to criminal charges.

Sexting is at the core of the case against Nicolas Junior High School teacher Lindgren, and there have been unconfirmed rumors of photos being involved as well.
