The power trio, which has performed alongside acts such as El Tri, Manu Chao and Stone Temple Pilots, is currently in Southern California after wrapping up shows throughout Mexico. With performances set in the United States for the first time ever, Timmy O'Tool will be rocking the Juke Joint in Anaheim on Thursday for Free.
Before setting things off on the last leg of their TOT and Destroy tour, the Weekly caught up with drummer Rana and asked a few questions about Timmy O'Tool.

OC Weekly (Gabriel San Roman): What's the story behind the band's name?
Rana: It came about from an episode of The Simpsons, where Bart tosses a radio transmitter down a well which was given to him for his birthday and passes himself off as “Timmy O'Tool.”
Being a rap-metal band from Argentina, who have been your musical influences?
There are many. To name a few, we've been influenced by the music of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Faith No More, Rage Against the Machine, and Biohazard.
What is the process behind the interpretations of English rock songs that you do?
In reality, all of our songs are in Spanish. All of our lyrics are in Spanish. The song that was in English that we translated into Spanish was the cover of “Zombie” by the Cranberries that is on our last album Sigo Acá de Pie.
How do you feel to be playing in the United States for the first time ever as a band?
Very good! It's like a dream come true, above everything, to be here in Los Angeles, the place where the bands we've listened to since we were 15 years old originate from.
What plans are there in the future for Timmy O'Tool?
At the moment, we are filming two new videos. One is on location from the Federal District of Mexico. The other, now, is on Venice Beach and other places in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
