We received a press release announcing that a meditation flash mob known as MedMob is coming to Long Beach this Sunday.
Here's a description from the group's Facebook page:
MedMob is a Global Flash Mob Mediation Movement unifying to expand positivity to every walk of life. Every meditator comes with their own deepest intention for themselves, their community, and the world.
MedMobs happen in highly visible places with the intention of exposing and inviting the world to the benefits of meditation and collective prayer.
The collective unification of intent and prayer has been proven by numerous studies to increase personal health and lower crime in big cities.
So pretty much the most uneventful YouTube video ever.
According to the press release, mobs have meditated in London, Amsterdam, Melbourne, Rome, Kenya and throughout Southern California. This Sunday, the event will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Participants are to meet at Chase Bank at 5200 E. 2nd Street before beginning a 44-minute silent meditation, followed by an 11-minute “sound bath.”
Get your camera phones ready.
