McDonald's Mighty Wings Debuts Nationwide September 9th

Just when you thought that McDonald's only does chicken in machine-formed shapes, the company has announced that they're releasing a bone-in chicken wings called Mighty Wings nationwide starting September 9th. So far they've been testing it in a few select markets leaving the rest of the country's chicken business to the Colonels and the Fil-A's–competitors that have been pecking at their heels.

BurgerBusiness.com, which broke the news, says one Missouri franchisee slipped with a Facebook post announcing the imminent arrival of the wings. Corporate has since confirmed the news.

Also according to the now deleted post, a new Pralines and Creme McFlurry and some autumn-themed desserts including Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Pumpkin pies will be rolled-out.

The wings will be offered in three, five, and ten-piece increments beginning at $2.99 and available in nine sauces. Your saucing choices will include Chipotle Barbeque Sauce, Creamy Ranch Sauce, Honey Mustard Sauce, Hot Mustard Sauce, Sweet Chili Sauce, Sweet 'N Sour Sauce, Honey and Tangy Barbeque Sauce, and, of course, a Spicy Buffalo Sauce, because why would you bother with wings if you're not going to offer a spicy Buffalo sauce.
