Daniel Richardson was Man Shot Dead in Anaheim
A man shot during a fight at an Anaheim motel Wednesday evening later died at a hospital.
The identity of the deceased was not released pending his family being notified.
The Anaheim Police Department was sent after 5:30 p.m. to Akua Motor Inn, 1018 E. Orangethorpe Ave., because two men got into an altercation and one shot the other, according to the agency, which has not yet released a motive for the fight.
The suspected gunman, whose name also has not been released, was taken into custody, police say.
The victim was taken with life-threatening injuries to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead at 7:07 p.m., according to the Orange County coroner.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
