Man in His 40s Stabbed to Death in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa Police are investigating the death of a man found lying on the ground and bleeding on a residential street Saturday afternoon as a homicide.

The victim of a stabbing, the man has yet to be identified and only described as Hispanic and in his 40s.

Police got the call around 4:30 p.m. Saturday from a nearby resident about a man lying on the ground and bleeding on a front lawn in the 2900 block of Peppertree Lane, according to Sgt. Mike Manson.

The fellow was treated by paramedics for a stab wound and taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana where he later died of his injuries, Manson said.
