Amidst calls and petitions for McDonald's to fire Ronald McDonald and stop marketing to kids, a 57-year-old man named Don Gorske has reached a remarkable milestone: he ate his 25,000th Big Mac, 39 years after eating his first.
]
You might remember Gorske from Morgan Spurlock's Super Size Me, where he revealed that he has eaten about two Big Macs a day since he was 17.
The local news outlet
from his native Wisconsin had Gorske admitting that he's probably got
an obsessive-compulsive disorder. But hey, his cholesterol level is
surprisingly low.
The McDonald's corporation responded to the news with this statement:
“We're honored that Don Gorske continues to be a longtime, loyal
customer. We look forward to serving him for many years to come.”
Serving him? How's about giving him the mascot job?
