Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez may need her combat helmet Saturday afternoon as she leads a town hall meeting in Garden Grove dedicated to the oh-so-controversial Obamacare.
The office of the central OC Democrat, whose party prefers to call it the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, is actually co-hosting the event with the office of Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D-Long Beach).
They'll be joined by representatives of CalOptima, the Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers, Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance and the Orange County Social Services Agency.
The fun is to run from 1:30-3 p.m. Saturday at the Nhan Hoa Clinic, 7761 Garden Grove Blvd., Garden Grove.
The town hall is happening now to address questions as a whole new healthcare marketplace comes to fruition on Oct. 1. If you can't make Saturday's event in Garden Grove, local Organizing for Action (OFA) volunteers and Obamacare supporters host an education event from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Santa Ana College, 17th and Bristol streets in Santa Ana.
Monday, Sept. 16, has been declared by OFA a national day of action for the Affordable Care Act.
