Along with Battles, Foals was one of the more interesting bands to come out in 2007. Their debut, Antidotes, was dance-punk-meets-prog, with loops and sonic experiments galore. Total Life Forever is a little darker, a little slower, and a little more…new wave, actually. It's still experimental dance-prog, but there seem to be a more synth-ey sound on this album.
