Leticia Carrasco Guilty of Murder, Robbery and Posing for Week's Ugliest Police Mugshot

OK, in the interest of full disclosure, I did look over Moxley's shoulder and noticed that he has a police mugshot in his dish–yes, we use dishes here to store police mugshots; don't judge–of someone uglier than Leticia Carrasco.

But until he cracks that fellow out, I'm going to go ahead and name the mug of the robbing and murdering mother of seven the ugliest of the week. So far . . .
]

Carrasco was convicted Thursday of using . . . yeeeech alert! . . . sex to lure a man three days before Christmas 2008 from a Stanton bar to the Covered Wagon
Motel in Buena Park, where her 26-year-old son Noel Carrasco is accused of waiting to rob the man.

When Matias Ojeda
Vazquez
refused to hand over money, he was repeatedly stabbed, struck in the head and choked out. The motel room was then cleaned and the body of Vazquez was wrapped in bedding, with a plastic bag over his head and a dog food bag over his feet.

The son was arrested on Jan. 12, 2009, in Las Vegas. Part of what led investigators to him was a text message sent to his girlfriend with Vazquez's cell phone. His mother was arrested two days later in Vegas with Vazquez's Honda Accord.

She is said to have helped authorities with the location of the corpse. On Jan. 15, 2009, a San
Bernardino County Sheriff's Department helicopter found the remains in the middle of the desert off I-15 near Yermo.

Her son's jury trial, where he faces counts of felony special circumstances murder in the commission of a
robbery and second degree robbery and the possibility of life without parole, is to being March 11 in Santa Ana.

A Santa Ana jury deadlocked on the special circumstances allegations before convicting Leticia Carrasco of felony first-degree murder and second-degree robbery, sparring her a life sentence. Judge Thomas Goethals could send her to state prison for 25 years to life on April 12.

And lifetime registration as an ugly mugshot poser.
