Legendary LGBT Activist Cleve Jones to Speak at Cal State Fullerton TONIGHT!!

Oh, hell yes! Cleve Jones, the legendary LGBT activist is coming to speak at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Student Union tonight. Sometimes, Orange County, sometimes we're not sleeping under the rock of social unawareness! The location is even sort of a tip of the hat to his mentor, Harvey Milk, who debated the former OC Supervisor, John Briggs in Fullerton in 1978. The talk is being thrown by the Orange County Harvey Milk Day Planning Committee who have Jones speaking from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

If the activist's name isn't ringing an immediate bell, you'll probably recall that he was played by the adorable Emile Hirsch alongside Sean Penn in Milk. Jones met Milk in his early 20s and dove headfirst into fighting for the rights of the LGBT community. He then went on to co-found the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and created the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt. Man, even Washington likes Jones, and named him the White House Champion of Change in 2011.

If you wanna go to this sweet event tickets are free, but the committee asks that you RSVP so they can get a head count.
