La Mirada Olive Fest This Saturday

Did you know that there's an Olive Fest going on tomorrow in La Mirada? Did you know there's a town called La Mirada?

Yes, there is. Though technically in LA county, it's cradled from the east by La Habra and from the south by Buena Park. And this Saturday, for the 6th year, The La Mirada Blog in conjunction with the La Mirada Community Foundation is hosting this gathering at La Mirada Regional park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. According to the billboards, it isn't a festival to celebrate olives as it is one that celebrates La Mirada's history.

There will be free live music, a craft fair, local food vendors, a car and motorcycle exhibit, a silent/live auction, raffle prizes, and activities for the kids. Check out the official website at http://www.lamiradaolivefest.com for more info.

Though it doesn't like there will be endless food vendors selling olives, according to the Facebook page, there will surely be green chile burgers from a local restaurant called The Green Chile.
