This morning KROQ affirmed some of our early predictions when it announced the lineup for both nights of their 23 Annual Almost Acoustic Christmas. Linkin Park and Rise Against are slated to headline Night 1 along with an outfit of nostalgic, monosyllabic hard rock acts–Bush and Garbage–bolstered by indie supporting acts Walk the Moon, Lumineers and the Gaslight Anthem. As expected, hopes for Green Day's anticipated presence at the show have been dashed since they cancelled their tour following Bill Joel Armstrong's rehab stint. Eh, what can ya do?
Night 2 is more of a Coachella medley headlined by the Killers and (as we'd hoped) Jack White. You'll also be getting a spoonful of Fun. and some dance pop courtesy of M83, and Passion Pit and more. Returning to the Gibson Amphitheater on Dec. 8-9, the event is only open to KROQ Street Team members (join here). Tickets go on sale Friday, November 16 at 12 p.m. PST and will likely range between 75-$100 judging by previous years. All proceeds will go to benefit Para Los Niños and the Al Wooden Jr. Heritage Center–both dedicated to helping underprivileged and at-risk youth.Check out the full line up for this year's AAC after the jump.
