If McDonald's can do fried chicken a la its Mighty Wings, I guess it's not so far-fetched that KFC can do burgers? In a Freaky Friday sort-of-way, Brand Eating blog has discovered that some KFCs in China have started selling a so-called “layered beef” burger.
The burgers doesn't have just one patty, but six thin patties stacked on top of each other, as though it were a sandwich no one has yet to order at In-N-Out. It also has cheese, lettuce and mushrooms.
The blog also notes that it's not the first beef item on the menu at KFC's China locations. The chain also offers a rice dish with beef, as well as pork chop and meatballs. But I think I can speak for all of us here in the States that we welcome whatever burger KFC might want to try to sell us. Might I suggest putting a bun in the middle between two of the patties? Maybe call it the Big Colonel?
