Kathia Maria Davis Faces Trial Today for Allegedly Sexing Up Son's Hockey Teammates

Trial is scheduled to begin this morning for the Laguna Niguel hockey mom accused of plying her teen daughter and two of her son's 13- and 16-year-old teammates with alcohol–as well as slapshot and tickle with the boys that included stroking the younger one's stick and filling her penalty box with the second one's (okay, it's out of my system, folks). Kathia Maria Davis, 45, faces up to 17 years in state prison and a lifetime of having to register as a sex offender if she is convicted of the eight felonies, three misdemeanors and sentencing enhancements she faces.

The divorced mother of three allegedly threw parties for members
of her son's hockey team, Beach City Lightning. In 2005 or 2006, she let the
13-year-old stay overnight after plying him and her son with alcohol, according to authorities. It was after Davis' children fell asleep in the same room that she is accused of kissing and giving a handy to the visitor.

The 16-year-old also got his drink on at the home–with nightcaps of sexual intercourse with the mom in her bedroom four times in 2010 and 2011, according to authorities, who note Davis' children were present each time. One of those times, Davis allegedly served alcohol to her teen daughter.

After the 16-year-old told his mother about the trysts, the Orange County Sheriff's Department
was alerted. Davis later surrendered to authorities and entered a not guilty plea at her arraignment last December.

She is charged with: four felony counts of
lewd acts on a child under 14 and a sentencing enhancement allegation for
substantial sexual conduct with a child (for the encounter with the 13-year-old); four felony counts of
unlawful sexual intercourse (for the 16-year-old); and three misdemeanor counts of
contributing to the delinquency of a minor (for the boys and the girl).

If the mom is found guilty, she could be barred from Orange County parks and recreational areas blanketed by child safety zones forbidding pervs.
