Kareem's Restaurant Selling its Wonderful Falafels at Wholesome Choice!

A couple of weeks ago at Wholesome Choice, I was trying to find the shallots-spiked yogurt I always get with an order of sangak when I heard someone call my name. It was Mike Hawari, who owns the best restaurant in Little Arabia: Kareem's Restaurant. He stood behind the gyros counter, and I was afraid that Kareem's had shuttered due to the Great Recession.

“No, we're doing good,” Hawari replied, as he shoved a falafel in my hands.

It turns out Hawari has finally gone through on what he has long planned: to see Kareem's falafel–a luscious orb of crunch, fluff, and chickpea sweetness–get sold in other markets. And the first smart client? Wholesome Choice.

You can catch Hawari most days at Wholesome Choice giving out free samples, but be a mensch and buy some for home. Afterward, trek up to Little Arabia and eat, eat, eat!
