A few days ago, I had no idea who or what 2NE1 (pronounced “Twenty-One”) was. Now I know they're a hugely popular Korean pop singing group consisting of a foursome of females (see video above).

Why am I sharing this tidbit of trivia with you, on this, a food blog? Well apparently a Korean restaurant just opened in Anaheim that has a name which seems to pay homage to the group. Or perhaps not, because according to this blogger, the workers there have denied that their restaurant has any connection to the K-Pop stars.
There is, however, no denying that it hasn't hurt business with curious looky-loos and blog posts like this, especially because the restaurant that was there before, a Korean pub called Joo Dae Lee, has come and gone without so much as a peep.
Still to be seen? A Justin Bieber-inspired microbrewery.
