Thanks to Glee and karaoke parties, '80s soft rock is cool again. Journey just announced their summer tour and an album release date. Their newest set, Eclipse, will be released on May 24; to promote it, they're hitting the road with Foreigner and Night Ranger to bring you hits from the '80s so you don't have to watch VH-1. The tour is coming to Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on July 23; tickets go on sale on Saturday.
It will be really interesting to hear the new songs; if you remember, Journey found their new lead singer on YouTube. Arnel Pineda was a singer in a Journey cover band in the Philippines before he was plucked from obscurity by Neil Schon and the remaining Journey members.
