Major League Baseball announced today that Angels outfielder and struggling addict Josh Hamilton will not be suspended for reportedly admitting to officials he relapsed with cocaine.
Here is the MLB statement:
Here is what the Angels have received since signing Hamilton to a $125 million contract before the 2013 season: 31 home runs in his first two seasons here, 89 games last season as he battled through injuries, off-season shoulder surgery, his Feb. 25 meeting with MLB officials involving a disciplinary issue “worse” than performance-enhancing drugs and a big cloud of mystery surrounding his status heading into the 2015 regular season that begins Monday in Seattle.
