Joe Simpson, Ambiguously “Not Gay” Dad of Jessica, Awaits Next Mr. Orange County Winner

After the National Enquirer reported in 2012 that Joe Simpson, the father of singers Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, was gay, the minister/psychologist/talent manager vehemently denied it. Those rumors hit Mr. Simpson hard again in February, when he was seen celebrating his 56th birthday frolicking on a beach in Miami with a young hunk. “My modeling client, that's it!” Joe later tweeted of Jonathan Keith. Well now, the next Mr. Orange County California could become Joe Simpson's next (air quotes) “modeling client.”

Gisella Boone, organizer of Mr. Orange County California, tells the Weekly that among the grand prizes for “The Most Outstanding Man of Orange County” will be one-on-one time with Joe Simpson, who is apparently on the prowl … for new modeling talent. (Hey, what did you think I was going to write?)

Men ages 19 to 27 are invited to compete for the crown. You will be judged on swimwear/sportswear, a media interview, top model fashion wear or formal wear and talent. The grand final is set for Aug. 17 at the Irvine Hilton.

Besides the interview with Joe Simpson, the winner is to receive a modeling photo shoot courtesy of Dan Pham.

Males ages 13 to 18 are also being sought for Mr. Teen Orange County. If either of these contests appeals to you, email Ms. Boone at gi*******@ya***.com for the link to the online entry form.
