Jaime Jezzuel Lopez, Who Lured Married Father with Sex Then Beat Him to Death with a Glass Crucifix, Gets Life Without Parole

Jaime Jezzuel Lopez, who met a man in his Fullerton apartment for sex but instead struck the married father of two several times in the head with a heavy glass crucifix until he was dead, was sentenced today to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Annie Harry, the wife of 45-year-old victim Rejinold Harry, told the court that her family life has forever changed, she is without a husband and her children are without a father because of the Garden Grove 29-year-old's bloody rampage.

She was at work and the kids were at school the morning of June 4, 2007, when Harry invited Lopez into the one-bedroom apartment for sex. After Harry undressed, Lopez hit him multiple
times in the back of the head with a large glass crucifix before ransacking the residence and fleeing with money and jewelry. When Annie Harry returned home at 1:30 p.m., she found her husband dead, naked and lying face down on
the bed.

A Fullerton Police Department investigation went
cold until July 2007, when Lopez was
arrested on a misdemeanor lewd conduct warrant in Garden
Grove. He was found to be in possession of
multiple items of female jewelry stolen from the Harry apartment. Investigators were also able to match Lopez's DNA from an unrelated felony theft case in 2008 with a DNA sample found on the rim of a drinking glass at the murder scene.

A jury on Dec. 7 found Lopez guilty of one felony count of special circumstances murder in the commission of a robbery.
