“We
responded to Breathe In immediately, consider Drake to be one of the
most talented new directors working, and look forward to including this
exceptional film as part of the growing slate of films we're bringing to
market in Berlin,” Daniel Diamond, president of international sales with QED International, announced in a recent statement.

Doremus, who grew up in Santa Ana but is of course based in LA now, co-wrote the screenplay for the ensemble drama with his childhood pal Jones, who come over from Irvine or Corona del Mar to work on his friend's original youth theater productions.

They previously teamed up on Like Crazy, which won the 2011 U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. Like Crazy's Felicity Jones stars in Breathe In as a foreign exchange student who upends her host family. Guy Pearce co-stars.
