Legend has it that at the end of a toll road that stretches far off over the horizon, there is a magical land the pixies who live there refer to as “Rancho Santa Margarita.” And somewhere in this Smurfy berg there is a busy street, inhabited by pixies in pixie-mobiles. At times they get whiffs of too much pixie dust, rendering them dangerous when they zip along.
Wherever this road may be, Orange County sheriff's deputies will be lining it tonight.

A sobriety checkpoint, which is funded by a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, is scheduled to run from 6:30 tonight through 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Consider yourself warned.
