Hopefully none of the schoolchildren went all Samuel L. Jackson on everyone, but they did scream after being startled by a rattlesnake at Big Corona Beach, according to a park officer.
Officer DJ Ferris was on patrol Aug. 26 when the children's screams led the officer to a school bus that seemed to be the destination for a four-foot rattlesnake.
]
Newport Beach Patch slithered into the incident thanks to a memo by Sean Levin, the city's recreation supervisor.
The children were moved to a safer location, and so was the snake. Animal Control captured the rattler and released it back into the hills, Patch reports.
