One thing to be thankful for today: the educational television programs about the people and places that make California tick courtesy of the late, great Huell Howser. (Orange Countians can be extra thankful we need only go to the extensive archives at Chapman University in Orange to check them out.)
Now, the television station that presented those shows is taking votes for viewers' favorite episodes.

Visit KCET.org/HuellVote, scan a list of 50 episodes from shows Howser hosted and vote for your favorite. The deadline to vote is Dec. 13, and you can also write in … well, type in … any ep that is not on the list.
The five most-favorited shows of voters will be part of a Huell Howser Marathon that begins on Sunday, Jan. 5. In fact, they'll be part of the 7-11 p.m., and they'll get a re-run during KCET's regular weekday Howser time slot at 7:30 p.m.
It's gold, Jerry, California Gold!
