Herb Alpert

It’s no news that Herb Alpert’s jazz tunes illicit relaxation–an effect of Alpert’s rhythmic precision and Miles Davis-esque cool style. Along with his wife of 41 years, Lani Hall–best known as the lead vocalist of Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66, Alpert will be performing a blend of jazz, world, and pop at Renee and Henry Segerstrom Hall. A night of lighthearted sophistication is expected, where Brazilian samba and mariachi elements nod to Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass and uplift moods at that. Certainly, long-time fans of Alpert’s career will get a taste of his past and present at this show: a lifetime of artistic inspirations and growth.
