Have you seen Leandra Elizabeth Clarke?
The 16-year-old left her Irvine home on June 26 after being disciplined by her mother, was last seen by acquaintances in the area of Culver Drive and Scottsdale Road the next day and may now be in New England.
She has previously run away from home before “and the circumstances surrounding this incident suggest her disappearance is voluntary,” according to a statement from Irvine Police Lt. Julia Engen, the department spokeswoman.
Clarke is described as white, 5-foot-7, 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Detectives suspect she may be staying with “non-custodial, paternal family members in the New Hampshire and Massachusetts area,” writes Engen, who note Irvine Police have contacted their counterparts back east.
Anyone who can help locate Clarke is asked to call 9-1-1, their local police department, the Irvine Police Department at 949.724.7200 or Irvine Police Juvenile Detective Kayla Wiebe at 949.724.7181 or email@example.com.
