An adult puppetry slam, you say?! The Muckenthaler taps into this rich vein of weirdness with their Haunted Nite at the Puppet Asylum theatrical charade. Watch as a woman falls in love with the Golden Gate Bridge in Object of Her Affection, only to discover that the bridge has been unfaithful to her (all in puppet form, of course); delight in the three-phases of sin-cleansing during Hell House 13, performed by puppeteer Mindy Donner; cheer for Alan Cook, who makes a very special appearance to perform Halloween-worthy shadow puppetry; and enjoy live music from puppeteers Eighty Bug N Judd, plus a shadow puppet tribute to Edward Gorey. Guests are encouraged to come in costume and bring their own puppet (or an actual date) to watch the show—and then partake in some Pinocchio-Oke-Karaoke.
