The magic of Harry Potter comes to life on the big screen once again. The film is the first installment of the eight-part series, and follows Mr. Potter as he escapes his despicable aunt and uncle by heading to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Once inside the walls of Hogwarts, the young wizard learns to navigate spells, charms, and all around mischief as he meets an unforgettable cast of characters. From the kind-hearted giant Hagrid to Harry’s best friend Ron Weasley, this first chapter sets the tone for the subsequent seven films. The blockbuster movies are based on the novels of J.K. Rowling, and The Sorcerer’s Stone introduces muggles (a.k.a. non-magic folk) to the plight of the most famous wizard in cinematic history.
