Hans Kevin Arellano, Man Shot Dead by Cop in Santa Ana, Has Stuff His Family Should Pick Up

People who say they knew Hans Kevin Arellano or are friends of the family of the man fatally shot by a Santa Ana police officer Tuesday afternoon have left comments (as have others) to our coverage.

Now I need a favor from them: please give Arellano's family the contact info on the next page for a storage facility that serves Costa Mesa homeless residents so they can pick up his stuff.

The 22-year-old father of two had been relying on the Churches Consortium service for a number of months, according to Executive Director Becks Heyhoe.

“I am now in possession of his belongings that I wish to return to his family as well as to be able to pass on our condolences,” Heyhoe writes in an email. “My volunteers have nothing but fond memories of Hans, who we all knew to be a polite, friendly, helpful young man.”

An Arellano family member is asked to call Heyhoe at 949.287.3149 or email ch****************@gm***.com.
