Hairspray The Musical

This isn't like the 1988 John Waters flick starring the legendary Divine and pretty fantastic Ricki Lake. Nor is it like the 2007 feature-length shit show featuring John Travolta in a fat suit and a dress (Divine he was not). This is Hairspray the musical—a multi-Tony-award-winning play that is the very definition of adorable, and sweet enough to safely bring the kids without fear of traumatizing them in any way. Starring Taylor Hartsfield as the spirited Tracy Turnblad, Cody Bianchi as the steamy Link Larkin, and the fabulous Joe Tish of OC's glorious all-gay male choir MenAlive as mama Edna, Hairspray comes to the Chance Theatre for a month-long run. Now, go run and tell that!
