On Monday, I let LA listeners know about the Kelly Thomas trial via my weekly “Orange County Line” commentary on KCRW-FM 89.9. People have been asking me all week about whether I think Kelly's killers, Manuel Ramos (the fat one) and Jay Cicinelli (the false eye one) will get off, and, as I told host Steve Chiotakis, I really don't know. OC District Attorney Tony Rackauckas has been doing a great job, per Mox, while defense attorney John Barnett remains the brilliant slimeball we remember from the Haidl trial. But this is OC, after all, where juries have historically given cops legal hummers for being cops, damn the facts.
