Girl Scouts Will Be Selling Three New Cookies This Year

It's tough being a major food company and keeping up with all the popular food trends these days. Even the Girl Scouts are feeling the pressure, as they prepare for that glorious, glorious cooking-selling season. What're they doing this year to keep up with the times? They're releasing three new cookies, two of which are gluten free.

But you know what? The three new cookies actually sound pretty good.

The first (and the one I'm most excited about) is the Toffee-tastic, a gluten-free short-bread-esque cookie full of toffee chunks. It's made with rice flour and tapioca starch, sure, but while those ingredients are horrible to make bread with, they sound like they'd make a perfect shortbread. Why? Well, everything I've eaten made with rice flour ends up crumbly.. which is what you want!

The second is Rah-Rah Raisins, an oatmeal raisin cookie made with greek yogurt-flavored chunks. There's nothing much else to say about them; if you like oatmeal raisin cookies and greek yogurt, you'll probably like these.

And the third is the Trio, a gluten-free peanut butter cookie that's probably going to taste amazing because it doesn't use any of the regular, gluten-free ingredients. Rather, the Girl Scouts are gluing oats together using peanut butter, chocolate, butter, sugar, and eggs. Sounds deadly good.

Look for 'em when cookie season starts (roughly three weeks from now).
