So you've no doubt heard of the ramen burgers. Now check this out: pho sliders.
Yes, a new restaurant in Fountain Valley at the Ayres Hotel called Fusion Bites is serving pho sliders, which doesn't use pan-fried noodle as bread like the ramen burger does, but isn't shy in stuffing a steamed bun with pho ingredients such as bean sprouts, basil, and what I presume is anise-scented beef.

That's just one of the many items, including a California roll sandwich and egg roll fries that will surely, once and for all, reclaim the word “fusion” from the 80's.
And with this new restaurant and Anepalco's, the Ayres Hotel chain has officially become OC's arbiter of cool restaurant concepts.
