With the weekend fast upon us, the Glass House is preparing to maximize their Friday show schedule. Kicking off tomorrow afternoon with a benefit concert for Haiti from the School of Rock All-Stars (just like kids from that Jack Black movie, only better), the Pomona venue hosts a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the 1985's world-wide concert, Live Aid.
The School of Rock All-Stars includes the best students in SOR programs from all over the country; this wild, pubescent pack of virtuosos are now touring and covering iconic bands that none of them were probably alive to witness.
Nate Jackson is the gatekeeper to your dreams of local dive bar stardom. If he writes about you, expect your band to be offered at least one more drink ticket than the rest of the bands on the bill. Get his attention with some groovy tunes and he might just do it. Then, boy will you feel special.
