Free Ticket Tuesdays: Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, BLOK and Far East Movement

This week, we're giving away tickets to shows by performers that aren't household names–but should be. That's five pairs for Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars and Far East Movement and 10 pairs of tickets to Blok and Railroad to Alaska's show.

Who: Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars

When:
Tomorrow, Aug. 11, 8 p.m., $20 at the Coach House

Why:
These African musicians are survivors of Sierra Leone's brutal civil war. Even as singer-songwriter Reuben M. Koroma and the other members of the group that came to be known as the Refugee All Stars sought shelter in neighboring Guinea they kept writing and playing music–a joyful, happy music inspired by Jamaican reggae.

Why: Asian-American group doing awesome hip-hop and remixing songs like Robyn's “Don't Fuckin' Tell Me What To Do” is destined for greatness.

Why: Dance party! DANCE PARTY!!!
