In Arizona during the mid-'00s, you couldn't throw a rock without hitting a pop-flavored alternative rock band with asymmetrical haircuts. But while many of their contemporaries have vanished into obscurity, there's something about Tempe-based quintet the Maine and their mix of love-obsessed keyboard balladry and tense guitars that continues to keep their fans (well, mostly the ladies) interested.
Rolling into town on steam from their third album, Pioneer, the band led by front man John O'Callaghan is playing tomorrow night at the City National Grove of Anaheim on Thursday, June 7 alongside fellow Arizona band Lydia and Arkells. We have FIVE pairs of tickets to give away.
You must be 18 and over to win the tickets. Winners will be notified next week; tickets will be held at will call.
