An alleged scheme to steal a $1.45 million U.S. Small Business Administration loan tied to a Fountain Valley gas station and car wash has resulted in a federal grand jury indicting four individuals.
According to court records at the Ronald Reagan Federal Courthouse in Santa Ana, the 22-count criminal indictment names Donald Keith Goff, Melanie Goff, Monty Brown and Leon Draper as defendants.
The grand jury accuses the defendants of committing mail fraud, bank fraud (against Nara Bank), aiding and abetting as well as filing a series of false statements to obtain loans in 2006 and 2007.

Federal authorities believe the Goffs, who have owned the AAA Auto Spa gas station and car wash on Talbert in Fountain Valley, misrepresented their assets and concealed negative financial information.
The defendants have not yet filed formal replies to the allegations.
Records show that Don Goff of Laguna Niguel is also the owner of East Canyon, Inc.
The case hasn't yet been assigned to a federal judge.
