A Yorba Linda man confessed to investigators when he was confronted with allegations he had continuously abused a female relative sexually when she was ages 9 through 15, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The case against 54-year-old Felipe Martinez Ruiz began after the girl, who is now 17, went with her mother to the police station to report the abuse alleged to have taken place in Tustin and Santa Ana.

After the confession, Ruiz was arrested for multiple counts of child sexual abuse and booked into the Santa Ana city jail.
He was held on suspicion of lewd acts with a minor, lewd acts with a child of 14 or 15 years when the suspect is at least 10 years older than the child, continuous child sexual abuse and sexual penetration of a person under 16.
